Avis KalfsBeek
Avis Kalfsbeek is a fourth-generation farmer and her great-grandparents, Asa and Ada Kalfsbeek, came to Colusa County from Holland. Asa is said to have been a “mule whisperer” and could quiet a barn full of mules with his presence. Nature authors Aldo Leopold, Wendell Berry, Edward Abbey, Ralph Waldo Emerson, John Muir, and Mary Oliver are some of Avis’s favorites. Avis writes the environmental adventure fiction book series Pedro the Water Dog Saves the Planet, has two grown children, and enjoys hiking with her dog, Teo.

Timothy Leonard supports the AKCRE team with sales and marketing assignments. Timothy has over four years of experience working in the wine industry, including experience as a sales associate. He has also worked in sales and customer service for retail shops in Napa and is a life-long resident of the Napa Valley. He is currently studying for his California Real Estate Salesperson license.
Jessie Leonard
Marketing and Social Media Manager
Jessie Leonard manages the AKCRE website and social media marketing. Jessie is an experienced social media marketer, writer, and graphic designer with over five years of experience performing social media marketing for many industries, including a position creating weekly posts for 60 clients. Jessie also performs graphic design and video creation for clients and is a writer, artist, and vlogger for her travel and lifestyle brand, Stray With Me Studio.
